Get to know ContractHack

Every attorney’s career is a little messy. Mine was scrappy from the start. I didn’t have a straight-line path with perfect mentors and golden opportunities falling into my lap. What I had was determination, curiosity, and a refusal to quit when doors closed.

ContractHack was built on grit, not shortcuts. Its foundation comes from a scrappy career path that proved there’s no single “right way” to succeed as a lawyer.

During my 20+ years in the legal profession, I’ve been a paralegal, worked for a judge, survived the pace of an intense law firm, opened my own practice, built an in-house legal team from the ground up, and now serve as part of a large, established corporate legal department. Each step demanded different skills, different mindsets, and a lot of self-teaching.

I learned to build my own way forward—piece by piece—by digging into contracts, asking the tough questions, and hacking together systems that worked. I taught myself how to negotiate deals, master complex clauses, and navigate industries where the rules were always shifting. Along the way, I discovered that what matters isn’t having every answer—it’s knowing how to find them, fast.

What ties it all together is determination—and a commitment to figuring things out when the guidebook didn’t exist. From drafting clauses at midnight, to sitting across the table from seasoned negotiators, to navigating corporate politics while scaling a new legal function, I learned how to find leverage, spot risks, and simplify the complicated.

That journey shaped ContractHack. This isn’t about theory or textbook law—it’s about the practical shortcuts, strategies, and lessons I wish someone had handed me when I was starting out. I know how overwhelming it feels to be thrown into the deep end of the legal profession, and I know how game-changing it is to have tools and frameworks that actually work in the real world. That’s the DNA of ContractHack.

Now, I’m passing that knowledge forward. ContractHack is here to help attorneys like you skip the trial-and-error, sharpen your skills, and accelerate your career. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the legal profession doesn’t have to be gatekept. With the right hacks, you can master the fine print—faster.
